Como el colono original de lo que ahora se conoce como Atenas, &#8216;Cecrops&#8217; no habr\u00eda tenido que esforzarse demasiado para identificar la ubicaci\u00f3n correcta de su ciudad. Atenas es literalmente una ciudad fortaleza que una vez fue inexpugnable, rodeada como est\u00e1 por las 4 monta\u00f1as majestuosas y varias cimas de colinas de ciudadelas, ninguna m\u00e1s famosa que la <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/athens-express.gr\/es\/package\/golden\/\">Acr\u00f3polis<\/a><\/strong>. Para colmo, una barrera natural en el puerto de Pireo y una fuente ilimitada de agua potable alimentada por los 3 r\u00edos de Eridanus, Ilissos y Kifisos. Lamentablemente, estos 3 r\u00edos son solo un recuerdo lejano, ahora simplemente forraje para la urbanizaci\u00f3n desenfrenada de Atenas. Pero nos desviamos.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"qntm-3bgz\">Explorando las Monta\u00f1as de Atenas: Penteli<\/h2>\n<p>El monte Penteli en el noreste no solo cumpli\u00f3 su prop\u00f3sito de defensa estrat\u00e9gica, sino que adem\u00e1s funcion\u00f3 como la cantera de facto del estado, algo que contin\u00faa hasta el d\u00eda de hoy. La famosa luz griega que brilla en las aceras y edificios festoneados de m\u00e1rmol de toda la ciudad proviene de all\u00ed. Las cosas para ver all\u00ed incluyen la cascada Valanaris y la misteriosa cueva del famoso ladr\u00f3n Robbin Hood &#8216;Ntavelis&#8217;.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"qntm-4oz2\">Explorando las Monta\u00f1as de Atenas: Parnitha<\/h2>\n<p>Parnitha es quiz\u00e1s el m\u00e1s pintoresco, aunque solo sea por el hecho de que est\u00e1 menos desarrollado y conserva parte de su naturaleza salvaje. No busque m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los numerosos recorridos de conservaci\u00f3n ecol\u00f3gica que destacan muchas de las hierbas end\u00e9micas y flores arom\u00e1ticas que crecen de forma silvestre en esas laderas.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"qntm-utgd\">Explorando las Monta\u00f1as de Atenas: Egaleo<\/h2>\n<p>Lo que nos deja con el precioso Monte Egaleo, aunque a menudo pasa desapercibido. Al igual que Parnitha, Egaleo ha permanecido en gran parte ileso del embate de la modernidad. Curiosamente, la eliminaci\u00f3n de ovejas y cabras ayud\u00f3 bastante a la preservaci\u00f3n del follaje en la d\u00e9cada de 1920. Y as\u00ed, \u00e9l y su hermana contigua, el monte &#8216;Poiklo Oros&#8217; en los l\u00edmites occidentales, han sido centinelas desde siempre.
