Greece & Turkey: Hop Aboard the 3 Day Cruise

This summer, it seems that everyone has Greece on their minds. With borders now open, and the (metaphorical) clouds clearing, it is a great opportunity to dust off those cobwebs and start living again. And what best way to come out of that 2 year slumber than with a nice, juicy cruise around the Greek islands? They are tried and tested, and do exactly what you’ve been promised: they will set you free. Destinations on the several itineraries that run, include: Mykonos, Santorini, Crete, Patmos, Rhodes, Syros, Milos, Thessaloniki, Kavala, & Volos in Greece, as well as stops in Kusadasi, Constantinople and Dikili in Turkey, and in Limassol (Cyprus), Port Said (Egypt) and Ashdod (Israel). You can potentially visit 3 continents in one week. How’s that for choice? Whether you opt for the 3, 4 or 7 day cruise, you’re in for a treat. Here to start you off this week, the 3 day cruise is short but sweet. Take a look at the stops.

Mykonos

The 3 day Iconic cruise begins and ends in Athens. The first stop is Mykonos. Here, you’ll spend a few hours in the party island of the Mediterranean and take in the sights like Little Venice and the lovely capital with its windmills and Cycladic architecture.

Kusadasi

Next stop on the cruise is Kusadasi, in Turkey. Kusadasi is a lovely seaside port city with lots of shops and little streets to get lost in. Get some shopping done on the bazaars and stock up on spices.

Patmos

The spiritual home of Christianity, Patmos is where St. Paul wrote his Apocalypse inside a grotto deep inside a mountain. It is one of the most impressive places you’re likely to see, and even if you’re not of that persuasion, it’s nonetheless a very sacred ground. Head to the nearest beach and have a dip before embarking.

Crete

Next up is Crete, and here you’ll get the chance to visit Knossos-the mythical home of the Minotaur, and the first recorded civilization in Europe.

Santorini

The island of beauty and serenity that is Santorini is next on your cruise itinerary. Hop out and snap away. This is, after all, Instagram royalty.
