Athens

Museums like the Archaeological and New Acropolis Museums are a great way to understand the culture, while up top Lycabettus Hill you’ll enjoy splendid views of the entire city.

Explore the sprawling Minoan Palace of Knossos in Crete, home of the first European civilization and marvel at the spectacularly preserved frescoes. around the Venetian Old Town of Heraklion, where you can catch glimpses of the past in the mosques, Venetian palazzos and mediaeval fortresses that line the cobblestone streets of the harbour city.
