Athens City Tour with New Museum
In Athens you will see a treasure trove of ancient ruins like the Acropolis & the Panathenaic Stadium. Meanwhile, there are beautiful, authentic neighbourhoods, a vibrant nightlife and high end shopping & dining. There are numerous museums such as the New Acropolis Museum and the Museum of Cycladic Art, amongst many others, while the seaside suburbs offer swimming opportunities at sea as well as places like Lake Vouliagmeni.
Delphi is the home of the Oracle and one of the most important places in Ancient Greece, renowned for its mysticism and religious importance, with sights such as the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios, the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum.
Aegina is one of the closest islands to Athens, and it is characterised by its laid back vibe and hassle free ethos, while one of the notable sights is the ancient Temple of Aphaia. Sit back in a cafe on the harbour and watch the ships go by as you ruminate with a cup of coffee in hand.
Hydra is an elegant, cosmopolitan island, home to artists & the jet set. No vehicles are allowed which makes it one of the most unique holiday destinations in Greece. The amphitheatrical built port cascades down in a flurry of neoclassical mansions inside a maze of scenic cobblestone alleys.
Poros is sleepy & tranquil, and is carpeted by a canopy of lush green pines throughout. This island is great for exploring and relaxing, as it’s off the mass tourist trail. There are spectacular views of the Peloponnesian peninsula & the Lemon Tree forest from across the port, which make for a breathtaking experience.
